The addition of  bass, baritone and tenor  drones to the  Practice Set

dramatically enhances the instrument. Balance between the three drones and the chanter is important to the overall timbre of the pipes, as is the sound of each individual drone.

O Riabhaigh drones work beautifully with either natural cane or newer composite type reeds, yielding a rich and stable note on all three pipes.
